Approachability
Speak with a clinical specialist who understands assay, detector, and care-setting constraints.
From 2012–2024 field rotations inside Tier-1 OEMs, our teams saw how mid-sized laboratories and community hospitals get left behind on documentation, parts, and training. Hologic focuses on serviceable diagnostics and care equipment those teams can actually run.
In 2016, the first ED lab I supported had an aging immunoassay station that failed during a stroke panel night. Across twelve years (2012–2024) inside large medical OEMs, that pattern repeated in community hospitals under 300 beds and reference labs that lacked academic-center leverage.
By 2019 the operating rule was fixed: every family we present must be serviceable, evidence-anchored, and documented enough for laboratories, imaging suites, and home-care agencies that are not on the cover of a journal. In 2023 the loaner and scholarship tracks were formalized for rural Critical Access pathways.
“Quality care does not end at the academic medical center.”— Clinical engineering leadership principle, Hologic
From Critical Access Hospitals to regional laboratories that need detector and analyzer coverage without Tier-1 staffing density.
Loaner pathways for selected analyzers and care devices during preventive maintenance windows so rural sites are not forced offline.
Funding pathways for biomed students entering hospital clinical engineering and laboratory support careers.
